With so many truck driver training schools throughout the country, most potential truck drivers have no idea what school will best suite their needs. You may find yourself asking questions such as, "What do I look for in a truck driving school?" Here at the Charlotte Truck Driver Training School, we want to assist you in making the right decision.

Truck driver training programs are offered in many different forms of operation. Some trucking companies have their own training programs or may direct you to one of their acceptable training schools. In many cases, you may have to pay for the training yourself. Some companies will ask you to sign some type of agreement for company paid training, which in result; will bind you to a contract over a certain period of time. This is done to ensure your tuition is paid back to the training provider. Some schools are privately operated and others are operated through technical colleges, student loans for truck driver training. These Areas are: The Workforce Investment Agency, which is operated through your local unemployment office. The other is the Vocational Rehab and V.A. programs, which offer assistance if you meet specific qualifications to receive such funds. Any private schools that offer truck driver training within the states of South Carolina and North Carolina must be licensed by the state in which they operate. Each of these states has set requirements for private truck driving schools which they operate. Each of these states has set requirements for private truck driving schools which determine how many hours must be completed for a student to graduate. Private truck driving schools are not required to be accredited.
